This week we are talking all about setting affirmations and why they can help fuel positive thinking and can get you through hard days. So what are affirmations? The definition I found is this: the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed.
Now while this is great, just this definition does not dive deep enough into what affirmations actually are. Affirmations are the things that we constantly tell ourselves and remind ourselves that are POSITIVE that can restructure our brains and thinking patterns.
“Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.” ― Gandhi
This quote shows that the things we believe and think about are the things that become our reality. I know for me, there have been times in my life when my thoughts were a lot more negative, which led me to see the bad in things rather than the good in things. My brain was being programmed to see the bad. If this is the situation that you are in, you need positive affirmations!
